Peter Panagore Workshop

Meditation—What Works Best: The Purpose, Practice and Practicality of Meditation for NDErs and Those Who Want to Transform Spiritually.

In this workshop Rev. Peter, who earned his MDIV at Yale with a concentration in Medieval Mysticism, will teach effective meditation that, in addition to reducing stress, slowing aging, improving concentration, managing pain, increasing self awareness, encouraging mindfulness, increasing happiness, increasing acceptance, and improving cardiovascular and immune health, most importantly gives one access to the Divine. Rev. Peter has practiced daily for forty years. His teachers include the Trappist monks of St. Joseph’s Abbey who themselves studied with the Zen Monk, Shunryu Suzuki Roshi, author of Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind, and who teach the Practice of Centering Prayer. Rev. Peter will teach the value of a quiet mind for listening for the whispering voice of God, and about the resultant readiness mediation creates for the grace of God who may give a Beatific Vision or an experience of Unitive state of being, both of which, and more, Rev. Peter has experienced before and after his NDE because in large part because of his meditative practices, and the grace of God.

You will learn the value of a singular chant, how to quiet your mind in meditation, how to concentrate, how to sit in the place of peace, how to apply meditation and mindfulness to your daily life, and why one should seek Heaven first above all things.
